I am really looking forward to Dreamforce. Of course, it’s a great place to meet people on the cutting edge, who understand the value that integrating co-browsing, screen sharing, agent video and more can bring to their Salesforce implementations.
But the show is so much more than just that, and it gets better every year. Here are the top four reasons I’m going to Dreamforce – and you should consider attending too.
This will always be the best reason for going to Dreamforce. If Salesforce is critical to your business or if you are even considering using it, this conference is a must. When you attend Dreamforce, you get access to more than 1,000 sessions, hands on trainings, certifications, blueprint clinics and other educational opportunities.

That said, be aware that there’s no way you can attend all of the sessions.
Go to the sessions that really interest you and leave the rest for when you get home. If you end up with free time, I’d bet you’ll find a session of interest close by rather than scrambling to get to a session in a different building. Bookmark sessions you weren’t able to attend and watch them later on YouTube.
We’re all expecting Marc Benioff and Salesforce to unleash exciting new things at the main keynote. Even better, attendees have the opportunity to see and hear from some of the most influential people of the past and present decades. Just talking about their upcoming speeches feels like a massive name-dropping session.
Former Vice President Al Gore and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will talk about how we can – indeed must – develop greater awareness of our global ecosystem. Arianna Huffington and Eckhart Tolle will talk about what it means to truly thrive as human beings. Maybe you’re holding out for Anthony Robbins, Neil Young, or Marc Andreessen – not to worry, they’ll be there too.

Hearing from these and more groundbreaking, world-changing visionaries will be an incredible learning experience.
Dreamforce is a huge event:
Networking at a show like this is a no-brainer. Take the time to engage with attendees and speakers. Meet new people from around the world who share the love for Salesforce and all things tech. Reconnect with old friends and make a few new ones along the way.
You won’t regret it.
The Gala at AT&T Park with Green Day was over the top last year. This year they’re bringing in Bruno Mars and his band the Hooligans. How can you lose when you kick things off with a Grammy winner and Billboard’s 2013 Artist of the Year? It’s going to be fantastic! Mars’ broad appeal will attract a wide audience.
Oh and by the way, it can get really cold out there. Bring a jacket!
Now that you’ve been convinced to attend Dreamforce, here’s a bonus piece of advice: be prepared for the fact that Dreamforce provides a physical workout as well as a mental one.

The show keeps growing every year. I’ve been hearing rumors that Dreamforce isn’t going to fit in San Francisco any more and might bust out into the bay.
They may have found a way to stuff it all in and connect all the venues with shuttles, but you’re going to have to do some walking to get around. Bring the running shoes, foot beds, or comfy shoes.
And of course, don’t forget to have fun!
